  • Domain name (domain adress) - unique name of some virtual server connected to Internet, that houses the information. Domain name consists of words divided by dots. For example: www.yandex.ru.


  • E-commerce - electronic commerce. Plainly speaking - e-commerce is commercial activity in Internet.


  • Header - is placed first in data packet and contains information regarding adressing and also codes for errors checking. Another meaning is part of e-mail message that is situated before the main text.


  • Indexing - lexical analysis and parsing of site's text materials aimed to create a list of used words and expressions. This list is then used to perform any information search on user's inquiry. Indexing is performed automatically by special programs - search robots. This feature is used by all search systems.

  • Client - program that can communicate either with server (send inquiries, receive answers) or user (react to keyboard and mouse buttons pressing). Usually client has convenient user interface.
